Gurugram: Fire department notice to six banquet halls

The fire department has issued a notice to six banquet halls in Gurugram which are being run without fire NOCs and permissions.

The department carried out a survey on implementation of fire safety norms by commercial establishments before sending the notice to six banquet halls including Casabella Garden in Sohna Road, Manya Hotel in Sector 37, Rajput Vatika on Delhi Road, Anjana Garden in Saraswati Enclave, Yadav Garden Kherkidhaula and Gokul Resort on Khandsa Road.

The move came after the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) in September this year, directed the fire department to seal those banquet halls which are not equipped with the fire safety system and running the operation without any permission.

During the survey, the department found that these banquet halls were found wanting on fire basic safety norms as per the Harayana Fire Service Act 2009.

Speaking about the action, IS Kashyap, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer, said, “These halls will be sealed if they do not comply with the norms. We have also written to the directorate for the same.”
