Delhi schools to remain closed till Nov 5 due to rising pollution
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced to close all the schools as a precautionary measure against the rising air pollution in the national capital.
The schools will remain closed till November 5.
Earlier in the day, Supreme Court constituted panel declared health emergency in the national capital region.
Construction activities have been halted to check air pollution in the city.
Bhure Lal, chairman, Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) wrote letters to Chief Secretaries of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to inform about the situation on Thursday night.
