Shipra Suncity celebrated Chhath Puja in a very unique manner. Though the skyline was shrouded in thick smog the whole day, it did not deter the devotees who celebrated the festival with full enthusiasm and zeal.
Giving altogether a new direction and new-age touch to their age-old rituals, the residents made the right use of technology to watch the setting sun. They set off drones that revolved around the premises capturing the sunset during the Chhath Puja. This helped them pray while watching the scenic beauty of the sunset.
Chhath, a symbol of Hindu philosophy, connotes that a person is made up of five elements of nature, earth, fire, sky, water and air. These five elements dissolve once the life cycle comes to an end. Every activity and offering in the festival are derived from this philosophy.
It is a festival that binds together the people of all castes and communities. Though it is an important festival for Bihar and eastern UP, people hailing from these areas celebrate the festival with great fervour wherever they reside and involve other communities with them.
