Noida Industrial Development Authority on Monday invited home buyers of Unitech, an under construction group project in Sector 113, to put forth their claims before it to ascertain their share in the project.
A week earlier, the authority had cancelled the allotment of plot to the developer for alleged violation of the rules. The authority informed the home buyers that the project was cancelled following multiple violations as the developer was carrying out the development without an approval from the authority.
The authority did not approve the map for development of the building. However, construction of residential towers was carried out unabated, which is a violation of the rules. The developer had also entered into an illegal transfer of right deal with another developer without intimating about it to the authority.
It had not paid dues of Rs 1203 core to the authority against allotment of plot for development a group housing project in Sector 113. Considering all these many violations, the authority initiated cancelled the allotment.
The authority clarified that the action taken was against the developer, not home buyers. The authority is committed to safeguard the interests of the home buyers and hence invites them to put their claims before the authority so that all home buyers' shares can be assessed and their interests saved.
