As the Punjab and Haryana High Court paved a way for the acquisition of 50 acres of land in Panchgaon for the shifting of Kherki-Daula toll plaza, a delegation of United Association of New Gurugram (UANG) on Tuesday met the officials of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority to know the progress status on the matter.

According to the GMDA officials, the authority has already initiated the process and written a letter to concerned authorities Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), District Revenue Officer (DRO), the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on the issue.

Now, HSIIDC will issue a notification. After that, DRO will hand over the land after clearance of dues. Finally, NHAI will takeover the land to initiate the shifting of toll plaza.

Praveen Malik, Vice President of UANG said, “On the basis of our PIL, the High Court gave its verdict and allowed the acquisition of 50 acres of land for the shifting of Kherki-Daula toll plaza. The GMDA has already started the process and gave us an assurance for fast execution from their side on the matter.”

“Our whole team is in positive spirit and will continue to follow up until the execution of shifting of toll will be achieved.” Malik added.

The residents are also planning to meet the newly elected MLA of Badshahpur constituency Rakesh Daultabad to discuss the issue for a fast execution once the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session gets over.

Bhupinder Narula, organisational secretary; Vinod Munshi, general secretary and Manjeet Malik executive member were present on the occasion.
