FONRWA writes to Authority's CEO over cleanliness issues at Sec 108

Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA) on Tuesday wrote to Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, seeking her intervention in maintaining the cleanliness in a residential pockets in the city.

Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 108 had informed the umbrella body that it is facing difficulties in maintaining cleanliness in the sector.

Ramveer Sharma, RWA President, who was also the complainant, said that some influencing residents are causing unhygienic conditions in the residential pockets.

He said, “They don't reside in their properties. But, whenever they clean their properties, they dump the waste outside. The area looks very filthy after dumping on the roadsides. They are doing it under the influence of some office bearers.”

Sharma also said that on one hand, they are demanding authority's intervention for collection of subscription charge for running RWAs in city, but on the other, they were allowing their relatives to spread waste in the sector.

He demanded that the authority should initiate action against these defaulters as dumping waste at an unidentified location has been prohibited. “It also defeats the objective of making the city clean,” he added.
