Noida Authority, which also works as civic agency of the city, on Wednesday initiated strict action against big defaulters who avail the facility of water supply. It disconnected water supply of 76 defaulters, who had failed to clear dues against supply of essential services.
According to an official, several teams of each respective zones were formed to initiate actions successfully.
They disconnected water supply of 76 institutional and commercial consumers. Each of them owed dues of more than Rs 5 lakh for availing services of water supply and flooding out sewerage.
The official said that they have also served notice to as many as 300 consumers, who are of group housing society, industries, and individual residential bungalows for clearance of dues.
They were given further time of two weeks to deposit the dues with authority by November 20, failing which, the authority would initiate similar action against them too.
The authority warned them that if they fail to clear all dues, which they owe to authority, it would initiate action. The official said that as plot allotees are issued recovery certificate for recovery of dues against allotment of parcel of land, a similar action would be taken against them too.
