As has become commonplace, the builder is harassing hapless residents, and this time its Ace Platinum in Sector Zeta 1 of Greater Noida.

Ace Platinum, GreNo: Residents cry foul

The builders of Ace Platinum in Sector Zeta 1, Greater Noida, have managed to raise the hackles of the residents yet again, with delayed possession, half-constructed amenities and a host of other reasons.

Despite being promised possession in 2014, the flats were delivered in 2016 — that too, with a late charge of 3 per cent from the buyers. The builder, though, had started to charge a maintenance fee of Rs 2.25 per sq ft from 2014. The clubhouse and swimming pool, however, still remain under construction.

Narrating a particularly harrowing incident to City Spidey, a buyer recalls, “I had tried to put a grill in my balcony for reasons of safety, but the builder’s goons came one day and removed it forcefully. Only then did I go to the police and ask for intervention.”

A buyer, PC Srivastava, told City Spidey that the residents are paying through their nose for power. The builder is charging Rs 6.1 per unit of electricity and Rs 18 per unit for power
back-up.

There are other concerns as well. Another buyer, Sanjay Kumar Singh, said that though he had booked a first-floor house, he was allotted a ground-floor flat. Topping it, he paid Rs 37,000 as registry charges but was handed a receipt for only Rs 20,300.

The builders didn’t stop at that. They have managed to get signatures of a few residents on blank stamp papers, and are unwilling to hand over other important documents to the residents.

When City Spidey tried to get in touch with the builder, they refused to comment.
