A team of crime branch from Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) East apprehended a notorious criminal of Jitender Gogi Gang Family, Pradeep Kala, 22, resident of Village Bhalaswa of Delhi after a brief encounter. A .32 bore pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Acting on a specific tip-off received by the AATS East on November 2 about the arrival of the sharp shooter at MCD Parking, opposite EDM Mall, Ghazipur Sabzi Mandi Road, a team of police laid a trap at the spot. At around 7 pm, the team of policemen spotted Pradeep Kala at the designated spot and apprehended him. During his personal search, a pistol and three live cartridges were seized from him.
A case is registered against Kala vide FIR 1279/2019 U/S 25 Arms Act PS Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi.
During sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that he, along with other co-accused, all members of Jitender Gogi gang, fired 10-15 rounds in the street and house of other gangster, Naresh Kumar, in I-Block, Jahangir Puri, PS Mahendra Park, Delhi on May 23. The assailants had gang rivalry with Naresh.
Due to the gravity of the crime, many teams were deployed to arrest the criminals. On October 14, a team of special cell arrested Tushar. The accused were so desperate that they even did not hesitate to open firing at the police party.
Pradeep kala was riding on the pillion seat of a bike which was driven by Tushar. But while Kala could be apprehended Tushar managed to escape unnoticed during the exchange of firing. Kala disclosed that he was wanted in three other pending under-trial cases of heinous crimes.
