The District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar on Friday ordered closure of all the schools, colleges, educational institutions and training centres from November 9-11.
The decision was taken as the Supreme Court will pronounce its verdict in highly anticipated and politically sensitive Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya on Saturday.
It was done to ensure safety of students amid tensed situation which might be triggered after the verdict. A five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will be pronouncing its verdict in the Ayodhya dispute at 10.30 am.
The Home Ministry has also issued an advisory to all the states and Union territories to make proper security arrangements at sensitive places.
