Drawn to each other through painting

Organised in association with City Spidey, the drawing and painting competition provided a platform for residents of Prateek Stylome to bond with each other.

Drawn to each other through painting All set for the drawing and painting competition at Prateek Stylome club house.

A drawing and painting competition was organised by the residents of Prateek Stylome apartments in Sector 45, Noida, in association with City Spidey at the apartment club house. Prateek Stylome is one of the newly built apartments in the area where the residents have just started moving in.

There are about 60 families currently living in the apartments. After initial niggling problems and tiff with the builder over basic facilities, they have started settling down in the society. The drawing and painting contest was the first ever community function organised by the residents.

The clubhouse started buzzing with activity since morning. The neighbours greeted each other with smiles as the occasion provided them a great opportunity to know each other and build bonds of friendship. The children could be seen excited as they were making new friends.

This was the initiative of the society’s cultural committee headed by resident Kaajal Koyyana. Apart from painting and drawing, a group of children presented a skit on the theme of peaceful coexistence, love and compassion. The skit was directed by Zeenat Shahab, one of the residents.

As the programme started, parents pulled out their cameras and phones to capture the action of their toddlers. After the children poured their imaginations on sheets of paper, they were invited for balloon dance. Many parents came forward to accompany their children.

A resident of Prateek Stylome apartment informed City Spidey that they have formed a cultural committee to engage with each other while the children are exposed to various cultural activities. The painting competition was the first step in this direction. A total of 25 children took part in the painting competition.
