As a part of the Regional Plan 2041, the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) is working to make National Capital Region (NCR) citizen-centric, improve livability, environmental sustainability and disaster resilience. The plan which will be revealed by September 2021 is in its initial stage.
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, who is a member of NCRPB, said the plan would help in bringing the air quality index within 100. He also said that emphasis will also be laid on controlling flood and cleaning of Yamuna.
Mishra also said that the Regional Plan 2041 will also help in the growth of industrial activities whether they are entertainment, industries or handicrafts.
