With no change in the air quality of Delhi-NCR, which remained hazardous for the past fortnight, a resident of Greater Noida has taken an initiative to educate security and house-keeping staff about  the measures to be taken during a medical emergency in the wake of degrading air quality.

A resident of La Residentia in Greater Noida, Bijoy Tripathy, is training the staff of various societies around the city.

Talking to CitySpidey, Tripathy said, “I was prompted to conduct a session as there has been no respite from the rising air pollution levels. The health of the people is deteriorating with many complaining difficulty in breathing.”

The most recent session was held at Gaur Galaxy North Avenue 2 where I trained about 50 plus security staff about precautions for air emergency and first-aid as they are the ones exposed to the particulate matter (PM) the most the nature of their job being as such.

During the training, techniques of breathing were demonstrated along with the method to give first-aid to a person who collapses due to lack of oxygen by Tripathy.

After the training, a skit was staged by the staff members of the north avenue where a guard pretended to collapse and was given first-aid by others while one of the guards called for an ambulance. Meanwhile, his feet were rubbed and chest was pressed till the time the ambulance didn’t arrive.
