Noida: 7x residents want grass and neem along the way

Noida: Residents of Sector 7x wrote a letter to the horticulture department of Noida Authority requesting them to grow grass and plant neem trees in the central verge of the Hanuman Murti Road.

A group of residents from various societies of 7X sectors visited the authority's office on Wednesday with the  request which have been received by the officials.

The constructed recently Hanuman Murti road, which runs from Sector 101 to DSC road in Noida, is almost complete with installation of poles and drains on both sides.

Brajesh Sharma, a resident of Antriksh Golf View, along with several other residents of the area felt that neem trees and grass should be planted on along side the roads and central verge as it will help purify the air.

Taking to CitySpidey, Sharma said that they are expecting a positive reply from the authority as the green belt is essential.

In maintaining the green area, a ready-mix concrete (RMC) plant and street animals can be a problem as passing loaded trucks can crush the grass on the sides of the road.

“After we receive some positive response from the authority, we will suggest either diverting the trucks to a concrete road or to protect the green belt through wiring, whichever is feasible,” Sharma added.
