Gautam Gambhir inaugurates smart e-learning school in Shahdara

New Delhi: The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) started an e-learning school in Shahdara South Zone to empower and facilitate quality education for all school-going children of the area. The school was inaugurated by cricketer-turned-member of Parliament (MP) Gautam Gambhir on November 13, 2019.

E-learning is a self-driven practice system. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the EDMC and an NGO. 

At the inauguration, Gambhir said, “The e-learning school will enhance the quality of education by creating a student-centric learning system.”

E- learning school module consists of videos of high end-learning practices of teaching. The classes here will include a web camera and a video conferencing facility so that children can ask questions related to the topic. Teachers would be required to give answers by showing slides and 3D images.

Mayor of East Delhi, Anju Kamakant, and many officers were present at the inauguration. On the occasion schoolchildren presented a cultural programme.
