Botanical Garden Metro Station witnessing drying up of trees

Noida: The trees around Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida's Sector 38 have dried up. As per the passersby, the trees outside the main gate of the metro station which were planted seven-eight months ago were seen to be drying at a fast pace for the past several months.

A resident from Noida took to Twitter and complained about the same first in July and then in August. He now awaits the Noida Authority to take action after his tweet received a response from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on November 13.

Brajesh K Sharma, who took to Twitter to complain about the drying of trees, said that he made the complaint on July 16 and then on August 21 and has been following it ever since then but no positive response has been seen from the authority’s end.

Talking to CitySpidey, another resident of Noida said, “The site of plantation drying has become constant in Noida. While on hand people are talking about making Noida a greener city, on the other hand greenery is not being taken care of.”
