Noida: DMRC acts on complaints; plants trees to retain greenery at metro station

Noida: Taking cognizance of the complaint about the dying trees outside the Botanical Garden metro station in Sector 38, Noida, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday planted new trees.

The complaint was raised through Twitter by a Noida resident some six months ago. It was acknowledged by the Central Pollution Control Board ( CPCB) who then directed the concerned department to look into the matter.

After the trees were planted on late Thursday evening at the metro station, several residents have taken to Twitter and tagged CEO and officials of Noida authority asking them to take swift action at other places in Noida where trees have dried up or not being taken care of properly.

Complainant Brajesh Sharma said that he was happy seeing the development and it is a good step in making Noida cleaner and beautiful.
