Two unidentified men snatch gold chain from doctor in Indirapuram

Indirapuram: Two unidentified men on Friday snatched gold chain from an eye specialist in broad daylight in front of Gaur Green City market in Indirapuram. The incident happened around 2.30 pm when the victim was coming out of her clinic situated at market.

Sapna Singh, the victim, was walking towards her car parked outside the market when her chain was snatched. 

Explaining her ordeal, Sapna said, “When I stepped outside the market, I saw two men on a grey coloured Apache bike standing on the road. While I was heading towards my car, I suddenly felt a attack on my neck. When I turned back, I saw one of them running with my gold chain. The person hopped on the bike and both them man ran away,” 

Her husband Sanjay Singh was waiting for her in their car when the incident happened. “The snatching happened just few meters away from the car. One of the men followed her right after she came out of the market gate. I tried to chase the guy after he snatched the chain but they fled the scene quickly,” he said.

Sapna told that the gold chain was worth Rs 46,000. “I had purchased it recently in May this year,” she added.

The couple called the police from the spot. Police have recorded their complaint. They examined CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

Sanjay and Sapna both are eye specialists and practice in their clinic situated in Gaur Green City. The couple lives in Amrapali Village society.
