Noida: 21-year-old woman gang-raped by five men

Noida: A 21-year-old woman was gang-raped by five men at a park after she went to meet her friend seeking a job in Noida on Friday. 

She went to meet a friend at a park near Sector 63 who attempted to molest her. Five men, who were passing by the spot, chased the man. Then, they gang-raped the woman. 

“After her friend was chased away, the men took turns to rape the woman,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna said in a press conference.

“The woman is illiterate and was looking for a job. She came to a park to meet a friend who was known to her brother. This man had assured her help in finding a job and asked her to meet him in the park, where he tried to rape her,” the SSP said.

The woman went to the police chowki in Sector 63 in Phase III and registered an FIR after which she was sent for a medical test. “Four of the six accused, including her friend, have been arrested while two are being absconding. The victim will be given complete legal support,” Krishna added.
