Thieves burgled two flats in Ganga Yamuna Apartments in Siddharth Vihar on Wednesday. They took away cash and ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh.  

Victims came to know about the incident when they returned from office in evening. The burglaries happened in same tower of Block H at 15th and 18th floor of the society. 

Sanjay Kumar lives with his family at 15th floor. He is a software engineer working with a private company in Noida. When he came back from office around 8.30 pm, he saw that main lock of the flat was broken and the whole house was scattered.

He reported burglary of Rs 4 lakh worth of jewellery and Rs 35,000 cash from his house.

Anubhav Tyagi lives at the 18th floor in the same tower. He also got to know about the burglary in his flat when he returned from his office. Tyagi reported burglary of Rs 50,000 cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh to the police. 

A report has been registered with Vijay Nagar Police station. SHO of Vijay Nagar police station told CitySpidey that they have received a CCTV footage showing how the incident took place. 

“Two thieves were seen in the video trying to get into one of the flats. One of the thieves had not covered his face. We are trying to identify them on the basis of the video,” told Shyam Veer Singh, SHO.
