With no hope from authority, residents approach MLA to solve their problems

Seeing no help forthcoming from the Noida Industrial Development Authority in clearing encroachment in their society and other issues, residents of Supertech Capetown, a high rise in Noida, approached local MLA, Pankaj Singh, with their problem.

A delegation of the AOA of the society called on the legislator at his office in Sector 26 on Saturday and sought his intervention as they said the authority had failed to compel the developer of the society to clear illegal occupancy of open areas in the society.

Arun Sharma, president of apartment owner association (AOA), Supertech Capetown, said meeting him along with Mahesh Yadav, Vice President of AOA, of the society, they pleaded him to convene a joint meeting of the officers, the developer and the residents.

''We have also sought his (the MLA’s) personal intervention in resolving issues related to water and power supply, parking, basement ventilation and handover of society,'' he informed.

After listening to their problems, Pankaj Singh assured them that he would look into the matter.

Earlier, the Noida Authority had directed the developer to obtain permission from the concerned department for increasing volume of the water supply in the society to meet the consumption demand. It also directed the developer to clear the illegal occupancy of open areas as it was in violation of the originally approved building plan. But the developer is yet to comply with directions given to him in the recent past.
