Ghaziabad: After failing to receive completion certificate (CC) for their residential projects, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) called developers of several societies in Crossings Republik for a meeting on Tuesday.
The GDA has called Crossings Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Ajnara, Panchsheel and directors of other housing projects in Crossings Republik for a meeting as they failed to receive CC within time given by GDA.
In past few weeks, multiple meetings have been conducted between builders and GDA officials regarding the issue of completion certificate. However, the developers never turned up and instead sent their representatives. This wavering and indecisive attitude of the developers prompted the authority to call for the meeting.
Officials of the authority said the developers would be questioned about unfinished construction in their housing projects and delay in receiving the completion certificate.
In September, the GDA had issued notice to the builders of 22 housing societies of Crossings Republik warning them of cancellation of their layout plans if they failed to apply for completion certificate within a month's time. The notice stated that it was illegal to hand over the flats to the residents without obtaining completion certificate.
Besides, the authority has also directed the builders to form Apartments Owners Association (AOA) in societies where it is yet to be formed.
As per a report by GDA, 24 out of 31 societies in Crossings Republik have formed AOAs. However, only two have handed over their maintenance services to the AOA, while 22 others are still run by the builders' management.
