The Food and Supply Authority of Delhi conducted a special drive to check quality of fuel filled in four-wheeler and two-wheeler. The department collected 40 sample of diesel and petrol from various petrol pump stations in East Delhi.  

Manoj Dwivedi, Additional Commissioner at Food and Supply department, said, “Along with odd-even scheme, we should keep a keen eye on vehicles also. We should also ensure that the petrol pumps are not filling polluted fuel. We have checked 40 major petrol pumps of East Delhi area and collected petrol and diesel samples. The report will come after 15 days.”

Fuel will be checked as per the norms laid down by automotive industry. Manager of the petrol pumps were asked to show other formalities related to quality fuel. 

National Green Tribunal (NGT) has put a ban on all the diesel vehicles older than ten years to ply on roads. Industries are making all the vehicles as per standard 4. Standard 5 will be implemented soon to curb pollution by vehicle.
