Gurugram: Vipul Lavanya, a residential society in Sector 81, brought all the community together by organising a winter carnival.

The carnival saw plethora of activities including talent show, ramp walk, fun- filled activities, games etc to engage the residents and children in particular.

Satya Prakash Jrawta, newly elected MLA from Pataudi, was the chief guest on the occasion. Raman Malik, BJP spokesperson, along with RWA representatives and the residents of the neighbouring societies joined the celebration.

The carnival presented a golden opportunity for the budding talents of the society to showcase their vivacious talent in front of the exuberant audiences.

The society children beautifully conveyed their message through a street play highlighting the importance of road safety and urged the MLA to help in developing the road connecting to their society. They also informed the audience their fear of commuting on pothole-riddled roads.

Shibashish Rudra, RWA member, said, "Due to the lack of 24 meter road, we are forced to use revenue road which is in a bad condition. We have requested the MLA to help in getting the road fix."

Apart, children also performed dance and singing which was lauded by all. There was also mesmerizing flute recital by an adult member of the society.

The children along with their parents were seen enjoying various games and joy rides.

Sanjay Singhvi, RWA member of Vipul Lavanya, said, "We celebrate every occasion as a whole community and enjoy together. Our talented children presented the grave issue of road safety and how it is affecting our lives. We are hoping some action would be taken on the matter to provide us much needed relief."
