Sedentary life has been associated with several diseases such as cancer, diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke and others. It is, therefore, very important to work out to keep all these diseases at bay. 

The only option people these days have to work out is the gym. But many do not use the gym due to different reasons. Some don't get time due to their busy schedule, while others cannot afford the costly membership. 

But don't worry! Gym is not the only option for you to stay fit. Given below are some alternative options which you can try to get into shape. 

Brisk Walk

You don't need to hit the gym and afford its membership for a brisk walk. All you need is to spare some time to indulge in this activity. Regular brisk walk helps maintain healthy weight, melt those extra pounds, prevent bone diseases and osteoporosis. 

Dance

Love tapping your feet to the tune of music? Dancing is not only a fun activity but also is useful in reducing your weight. You don't need any type of equipment, classes or shell out money to dance. Just play the music and start shaking a leg. It improves the flexibility in your body, make you active and increases your metabolism. You can pick any form of dance you like. 

Skipping

Skipping is a great exercise to reduce weight. Just get a rope and start skipping to remain fit and fine. Bouncing for only 15 minutes can help you burn several calories. Skipping not only reduces weight, improves heart rate, tones muscles in lower and upper body but also improves your skin. Well, this is indeed a good news for all beauty conscious ladies.

Go trekking

You can make your trip more enjoyable by going on a trekking. It will not only help in losing weight but also give you a great experience exploring places on foot. You can stop wherever you want, get to know more about that place plus know its people. 

Exercise in bed

Doing stretching and other yoga poses in bed regularly will help you in achieving your desired weight. These activities can be done early in the morning before you begin your day.

The above activities alone will not help you in losing weight until you follow a healthy diet. If you have a habit of eating unhealthy food, these exercises will do no good to you.
