Planning to visit Trade Fair? All you need to know

Delhi: 39th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2019 was opened for all visitors from Monday. People, who wish to get the experience of visiting the biggest fair of the national capital, can plan their visit well by purchasing tickets in advance to avoid the last hour rush amid huge crowd at the venue.

The tickets can be purchased from the metro stations and bookmyshow.com.

This year, trade fair is being organised on smaller scale because of the ongoing redevelopment work at Pragati Maidan. The halls where trade fair is being organised are 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 12A.

Due to huge influx of crowd at the venue, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) may restrict sales of tickets at any given time.

Entry of the visitors will be through only two gates – Gate No 1 and Gate No 10 near Pragati Maidan metro station. Senior citizens are allowed free entry on presentation of valid relevant documents with a photo from all the gates of Pragati Maidan from November 19 to 27.

A senior citizen lounge has also been set up at Gate No 1 for the convenience of senior citizens. ITPO has provided wheelchair facilities at Gate No 1 and 10 for specially-abled citizens.

Public Relation Officer of IITF, Sanjay Vashistha said, “Prices of entry tickets on general public days (Saturday, Sunday and public holiday) for adults will be Rs 120 whereas it will be Rs 60 on weekdays. Similarly, for child, it will be Rs 60 on general public days and Rs 40 on weekdays.”

“There is no parking inside Pragati Maidan. Paid parking is available at Bhairon Road for exhibitors and visitors. For the convenience of visitors and exhibitors, facility of shuttle service has been arranged between Bhairon Mandir parking to Gate No by ITPO,” Vashistha added.
