After receiving a complaint of a lost bag containing Rs 4.5 in cash and other valuables at the police station, the Gandhi Nagar Police came into action and swiftly located the autorickshaw in which the complainant travelled and found the bag intact with all its content. The police station handed over the bag to the complainant.

According to information, the complainant, Vikas Kumar, a shopkeeper from Ludhiana, Punjab, came to the Gandhi Nagar PS and stated that he had left one of his bags in an autorickshaw in which he travelled to Gandhi Nagar. The bag contained Rs 4,50,000 in cash and some clothes. His complaint was received and a lost report was lodged.

Although not a criminal case, since the complainant came to the police with some hope, to help him, ASI Sanjeev and Ct. Kuldeep, Rahul and Sandeep were asked to check the CCTV footage. In the footage, they noticed that one digit was missing in the auto number. We checked all the addresses of auto owners with these digits. The addresses were found to be of  Gautam Puri, Usman Pur, Old Govind Pura, Jagat Puri, Shyam Nagar, Tilak Nagar and finally the auto was traced to Sharma Colony, Budh Vihar, near Rithala metro station.

The bag of the complainant was found with all his money inside and the same has been handed over to the complainant. The owner of the bag was very happy with the police for their all-out effort to trace out the bag.
