Delhi: Time and again, civic authorities have failed to discharge their duties at optimum capacity. This was again proved by broken manhole covers near a gate at Karkardooma Court.
They are posing threat to the people passing near it. They are in broken state for quite some time now. But the authorities have failed to notice it. It seems that they are waiting for big incident to happen.
A shopkeeper, who works near the area when manhole covers are broken, said, “We have noticed school rickshaws and other vehicles getting stuck on the broken manhole covers.”
Union of small traders’ association has also complained about the broken manhole covers several times but there has been no action to improve the situation.
Karkardooma is a crowded area where many people pass through these broken manhole covers.
