Dwarka: There is a good news for the community people of Dwarka as a dedicated medicinal park is being developed by the Horticulture Department of Delhi Development Authority at Sector 19.
As said by the officials, it will be first of its kind park probably in Delhi which would have medicinal plants only. According to the officials, there would be more than 100 types of medicinal plants at the park.
At present, the plantation is going on and the work is supposed to be completed by December.
Deputy Director Horticulture, DDA, Dwarka, Zamil Ahmad said, “This park is unique in its nature and would have different Ayurvedic medicinal plants which could cure the ailments of the people. The facility to get information about diseases and it remedial plants information would be there in the park.”
“We will put information board to make people understand what they need. People would be allowed to take herbs from the park. People can herbs free of cost for their treatment,” he added.
According to officials, the initiative has been taken to promote Ayurveda. Plants like Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Aloe Vera, Shatavar, Harre, Bahera, Anvala etc are some common plants which will be available at the park.
Dwarkites showed their interest and happiness for such medicinal value park in their own area. They expresses their feelings and gave thanks to DDA.
Madhu Dagar, a resident from Crescent Apartments in Sector 18A said, “I am feeling happy and proud that Dwarka has got this type of exclusive park. People would be benefitted by using the herbal plants to treat their ailments. Now, there will be no need to visit the doctor for their ailments.”
Ramesh Mumukshu, General Secretary of Studio Apartments in Sector 16B said , “I am Asthama patient for a long time and I think that the herbal park would give me something to get relief in my Asthma in natural way. This is a good effort by DDA and such dedicated parks should be in all the areas of Delhi.”
