On poll duty: ECI reaches out to young voters

In view of the upcoming elections for Delhi Assembly, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has reached its services at the doorstep of people.

A two-day special camp has been organised for people so that those who have yet to register themselves as voter add their names to the electoral list. The procedure to do is simple.

One needs to just fill the electoral form and submit it at the nearest school that has been turned into a makeshift polling booth.

The aim of Chief Election Commissioner of Delhi in doing all this is to target new voters. Youngster who will turn 18 years of age on 1.1.2020 can enroll themselves as voters.

Booth level officers (BLO) are told to help every voter in enrolling himself/herself and issuing a voter ID. Change in name, address, corrections etc. can also be done at the booth.

The commission is trying to make the process easy for voters so that they can avail monthly services smoothly.
