Noida: Finally, the confrontation over formation of Apartment Owners Association (AOA) at RG Residency, a high rise in Sector 120, Noida, came to an end on Sunday after resident of the society elected Pradeep Jayaswal as President. 

The election was conducted under tight security, under the supervision of Shailendra Mishra, City Magistrate, Noida, and Assistance Registrar, district cooperative society and firm. 

According to residents, they were not able to go for elections, which were due from past three years, as the developer was not allowing to conduct the election legally. 

Finally, two teams consisting of ten officials deployed by City Magistrate and Assistant Registrar succeeded  in conducting free and fair elections. Police were deployed to allow residents to participate in the election.

According to residents, there was contest for only Secretary post as two contestants had filed the nominations. For the remaining posts, candidates were declared unopposed winners as only one candidate for each post had filed the nominations. 

Chandra Shekhar Gupta and Anuj Kumari Sinha were contesting for the post of Secretary, in which, the former got 247 votes against the latter. Sinha got only 49 votes, out of 349 votes in the election.

Pradeep Jayaswal, President, Shefali Gupta, Vice President, CS Gupta, General Secretary, Shailendra Yadav, Treasurer were elected unopposed. Shiv Awasthi, Amit Kapur, Nitin Rana, Dinesh Dewangan and Prakash Paul were declared executive members.
