Noida: The air quality remained in 'poor' category for second consecutive day in Noida and Greater Noida. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 270 and 271 at Noida and Greater Noida respectively.

During such scenario, the Uttar Pradesh government and pollution control board have issued guildelines to check pollution in the state.

They have asked people to use clean technology in manufacturing of biogas, energy, compost, electricity, building materials and other products.

The drivers of transport vehicles have been asked to look after their vehicles properly. They have been asked to check carburettor and emissions from time to time.

“In place of chemical fertilisers, adopt organic fertilisers, Burmese compost, green manure, organic culture, compost, fertiliser and leguminous crops,” the advisory read.
