Greater Noida: On the Constitution Day, the Greater Noida Authority arranged a programme at its auditorium on Tuesday. All the officials and employees of the Authority took pledge to work according to the Constitution of India.

The Constitution of India was adopted on November 26, 1949. The objective to celebrate the day was to pay tribute to the work of BR Amdedkar who played an important role in framing the Indian Constitution.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Noida Authority, Narendra Bhooshan was present at the auditorium to make all the employees take pledge on the day.

The employees pledged to pay respect to Constitution, national institutions and flag. “The employees took pledge to respect women, adopt non-violence, protect culture and tradition and put efforts in environment conservation,” an official said. 

The draft of the Constitution was prepared by a committee chaired by BR Amdedkar who was an iconic lawyer, scholar and leader. The day is also celebrated as National Law Day.
