Greater Noida: In yet another incident of robbery using the same modus operandi of breaking the lock, three flats of Stellar MI Citihomes in Omricon 3, Greater Noida, were robbed with valuables worth Rs 15 lakh.
On Tuesday, three incidents of robbery were reported while the flat occupants were not at home under Surajpur police station in Gautam Budh Nagar.
The complaint was lodged later in the night after a group of furious residents went to Surajpur police station to report the incident.
As per the residents, Vinayak Mathur, Anil Rai and Roshan were not at home when the incident happened. While Mathur and Rai were in their respective offices, the occupant of third flat had gone to a nearby temple.
As per the police, the victims have alleged that the valuables and cash worth of Rs 15 lakh were taken from the three flats.
“The burglars made entry by cutting the lock of the main door of all the three flats, we are suspecting that it is the same group which had carried out robberies earlier,” said Station House Officer of Surajpur.
He added that the matter is under investigation and we have grabbed the CCTV footage.
“Luckily, the CCTV of the society is in operation and there is a possibility that one of the cameras has recorded the burglars,” a resident of Citihomes said.
In Greater Noida, this is tenth reported incident of burglary where the method of breaking-in has been used while the family members were out.
