Noida: The Noida Industrial Development Authority, the civic agency, on Tuesday announced a waiver scheme to settle dues raised against water supply.
Under the scheme, the authority is going to waive 40 per cent of interest on dues against the water bills in case a consumer come forward to clear the dues of 2019 by January 31, 2020.
In case of payment after the due date, consumer would get benefit of 30 per cent exemption if the payment is made up to February 29, 2020. Thereafter, the exemption of interest would be reduced to 20 per cent, in case a consumer pays the dues upto March 31, 2020.
The one-time settlement scheme would be exhausted automatically after the due date. The authority informed all defaulters to clear the dues within given time to enjoy the benefit of exemption.
It also warned consumers, especially those who again fail to clear the dues, that they would face disconnection of water supply.
