East Delhi: Waterlogged potholes pose threat to commuters

New Delhi: Big potholes were making things worse at the East Delhi. With the rains, there was waterlogging on the roads making the potholes invisible. Residents complained about the bad condition of roads as one biker had also fallen down due to pothole.

The biker fell down in front of Leela Hotel. He was immediately taken to nearest hospital. The residents of the area said that this is common in rainy season.

A resident of Preet vihar, Ashok said, “Vikas Marg, which connects ITO, is only 200 meters away from where we live. More than ten potholes can be seen from a very short distance. The concerned authority said that they are doing their work.”

“But we are not sure whether they are carrying out these work. Traffic congestions also happen due to potholes,” he said.

The area of East Delhi is also facing many other issues like garbage burning which affects the environment.
