Greater Noida: A team from Bisrakh police station on Saturday arrested a desparate criminal following a brief exchange of fire. The man is said to have been wanted in a October 3 shootout case where he made a bid on the life of a resident of Gaur City.

At around 3 pm, the accused was spotted by the police team riding a motorcycle along with his associate. As the police party tried to intercept the duo they opened fire on them leading to an encounter.

The cops, however, could be able to overpower the accused near Roza Jalapur Gaur Sons Mixers in Greater Noida after a hot pursuit and took him into custody. While the accused identified as Arun has been injured in the crossfire, his accomplice managed to flee the spot.
