New Delhi: A direction issued by the government through an office memorandum states that all Delhi government employees will have to undergo health check-up annually.
The directive is applicable on all employees who are aged 40 years or above. A government official has said that lieutenant governor Anil Baijal has given his approval to the directive.
“In the current year (2019-20) of the introduction of the scheme, the administrative department concerned shall ensure that that the requisite annual health check-up in respect of all government employee aged 40 years and above in their respective department is completed by March 31, 2020,” the memorandum stated.
According to the directive, the employees can get their health check up done at private as well as government hospitals. “In case the check-up is already done, a reimbursement of Rs. 2000 for men and 2200 for women shall be given,” the official said.
