In a gory incident, a couple among three people living in Krishna Apra Sapphire, a housing society in Indirapuram, jumped off 8th floor of the building on Tuesday. While the husband and wife, who took the extreme step after allegedly killing their two children, died on the spot, another woman, who jumped off the building along with them, succumbed to her injuries later in a hospital.
The couple on a killing spree before committing suicide have not spared even their pet rabbit.
The police have recovered a suicide note from the apartment, in which the deceased lived, with a confession to the killing of the two children and suicide. The suicide note holds one, Rakesh Verma, responsible for the deaths.
The police have identified the deceased couple as Gulshan Vasudev and his wife Parveen Vasudev, their 15-year-old son Hrithik and daughter Kittu. The other deceased woman who died at the hospital is identified as Sanjana.
While their neighbours identified Sanjana, who lived with the family, as Gulshan's second wife, Gulshan's brother, Harish Vasudev, claimed that she was their house help.
The police investigating the case is suspecting financial crisis to be the reason behind the gory incident.
Harish, Gulshan's brother who lives in Jhilmil colony in East Delhi, told the police that his brother was running a business of jeans in which he recently incurred losses worth Rs 2 crore. He alleged that his brother-in-law, Rakesh, who has been blamed for the deaths in the suicide note, duped him.
The bodies have been sent for the postmortem and the investigation is underway, the police added. The copy will be updated once more information is received
