Delhi's air quality deteriorated again on Tuesday from 'moderate' category on Monday, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The Air Quality Index (AQI) oscillated to 'poor' and 'very poor' categories at several major junctions of the city. 

The AQI at Anand Vihar was at 306 with PM 2.5 at 306 and PM10 at 269, while in Ashok Vihar the AQI was 309 at 9.30 am. 

In areas such as Mandir Marg, ITO and Lodhi road, the AQI was 271, 281 and 212 respectively.

The AQI plunged even in the neighbouring cities of the capital. The AQI at Gurugram was 245, Faridabad 240, Noida 238 and Ghaziabad 347. 

The minimum temperature in the morning on Tuesday was 9.1 degrees Celsius, normal for the season. The MET department has forecast strong surface winds later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 23 degrees Celsius.
