Telangana rape case: Children hold protest march; demand tougher law

New Delhi: Ever since the brutal rape and murder of Hyderabad’s doctor Priyanka Reddy came to light, there has been quite an anger among people.

Now, students of Krishna Nagar’s Lovely Public School held a protest march holding placards in victim’s support on Monday morning. Girl students along with teachers raised their voice to hang rapist and demanded a stronger law to deal with such cases.

The protest march was attended by more than a hundred boys and girls. They went through streets and markets conveying the message that the country should be safe for girls. They said that they cannot tolerate injustice to their sisters.

They were opposing the present law to deal with such cases. They said, “Our law is not strong enough as the culprits escape easily after committing the crime.”
