Greater Noida: After a major security breach where attempts of abduction made on few children, the residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1, a high rise in Greater Noida West, demanded to either tighten or charge the security agency.

The residents got alerted when they came to know that a girl, who was studying in class 4, was stopped outside the temporary gate of the society by a stranger. The stranger asked the girl to come along with him. He told her that her mother had sent him to pick her up.

The brave girl then asked the stranger, to reveal the passcode. The man was not able to tell the code. The girl ran inside the society from the iron gate.

Talking to CitySpidey, Umesh Tiwari, father of the girl said, “My daughter first thought that maybe the man was sent by my wife, but when he was not able to tell the passcode, she sensed something wrong and ran in. My wife has been educating children to avoid strangers from the very start.”

He added further that the incident took place at 2:24 pm when his daughter's school bus dropped her near the temporary gate of the society which was installed for residents’ convenience.

Notably, several such incidents of strangers asking children to come along with them were reported from the society. When Umesh raised the issue with other residents, they also revealed that similar attempts have been made on their children as well.

Then, a group of residents went to Bisrakh police station and gave written complaint about the incident. CitySpidey also spoke to Station House Officer (SHO), Bisrakh, Manoj Pathak, who said that luckily no incident of child abduction has been reported from the area in the last ten months.

He said, “As a precautionary measure, an advisory will be sent to the security staff of various societies to strengthen their security requisites.” He added that police patrolling will be done from their side to avoid any unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile, the residents have demanded to either close the temporary gates or to place some guards to ensure security of children.

Sumit Saxena, a resident of the society said, “The security situation has always been worst but after yesterday's incident, we have instigated the facilitation staff to undertake the resident's security seriously.” He added that they are expecting some decision will be taken in the internal meeting of the maintenance staff and security agency.
