Telangana rape case: Ghaziabad Bar Association boycotts work

Ghaziabad: To condemn the barbaric gang rape and murder of a woman veterinarian last month in Hyderabad, the Bar Association of Ghaziabad has announced to abstain from judicial work on Thursday.

The lawyers will stay away from court proceedings and will not present cases in front of judges.

Sunil Dutt Tyagi, President of the bar association told that the move is taken to show solidarity with family of the victim and to demand immediate trial of the accused caught.

However, the government of Telangana on Wednesday already issued orders for setting up a fast track court to try the four men accused of the crime.

“We still demand regular hearing of the case so that culprits are punished immediately,” told Tyagi.

On November 27, the 26-year-old veterinarian doctor from Hyderabad was brutally gang raped and killed allegedly by gang of four men.
