FedAOA founder honoured for role in streamlining traffic

Indirapuram: Alok Kumar, founder of Federation of Apartments Owners Association (FedAOA), was awarded a memento for his noteworthy contribution to raising the issue of traffic menace in Indirapuram area. Kumar was awarded by SSP Sudheer Kumar Singh on the concluding day of traffic month observed by the Ghaziabad police.

In 2018, Kumar's FedAOA had moved the Allahabad High Court against the traffic menace due to the encroachment of roads by illegal shops. The FedAOA had filed a PIL in the court.

The court ordered the SSP to form a team to streamline the traffic. A committee was formed for the task which approved four cranes, four fighter vehicles and five traffic mobiles services to streamline the traffic in the area.

Speaking to CitySpidey, Kumar said he was humbled by the honour he received. He advised the police to be more vigilant check violation of traffic rules.

"Some people violate the rules, yet misbehave with the officers. The UP Police need to be as strict and powerful as the Delhi Police in these matters," he observed.
