Noida: In an effort to sensitise commuters, especially two-wheeler riders, over 200 super bikers from across the National Capital Region of Delhi, on Sunday, thronged Super Tech North Eye, an under-construction project in Sector 74 to pledge for safe riding.

The pledge was organised by Roaring Power Machines, a national group of bikers on a mission to make Indian roads safer for bikers. It was chaired by Vaibhav Krishna, SSP of Noida and Greater Noida police. They took the oath of educating youth about the basics of safe biking.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishna said, “This is, indeed, a good initiative to encourage and acquaint the youth about the basics of safe biking. With the rising traffic and risk on roads, one needs to be well aware about the traffic rules and should always abide by them. An individual’s effort and dedication plays a crucial role in the overall safety when you are on road.”

In the history of Indian motor biking, more than 200 bikers swore by safe riding on the roads. They aimed at fostering the acceptance of responsibilities of motorcyclists.

Kanika Chhabra, a member of the core team of RPM India, said, “As majority of the accidents happen due to oversight and the failure to follow the traffic regulations, RPM aims to avoid or minimise the damage through imparting adequate information and knowledge.”

"With this history defying and unique initiative, we intend to remind all the bikers to follow the regulations and take adequate steps to maintain road safety standards before they open up their throttle,” she said.

The RPM India is a pan India biker group that was co-founded by like-minded bikers. In the spirit of patriotism, the RPM gave a rev salute to BSF and created history by becoming the ?rst ever super biker community in India to get access to Atari-Wagah Border.
