La Residentia: Residents elect first ever AOA with hope of revival in services

Greater Noida: Residents of La Residentia, a highrise in Greater Noida, on Sunday turned out to elect its first ever Apartment Owners Association (AOA), making way for taking over further developments of the society in their own hands.

The 10-member committee was elected on the basis of securing high percentage of votes. They will be having the responsibility for carrying out day-to-day developments for the period of one year.

The society has been in news for conflict between the management and the residents over poor maintenance services and hence the elected committee (AOA) will have to ensure that those issues will be rectified, once it takes over charge from the current management.

The elected members of the committee with their respective posts are– Sachin Sharma (President), Kamal Parashar (Vice President), Sunil Kumar (Treasurer), Abhishek Chauhan (General Secretary), Bijoy Tirpathy (Member), Anup Kumar (Member), Hiralal Pal (Member), Gaurav Sinha (Member), Neeta Aggarwal (Member) and Chirsmita Panda (Member).

Society's lift services have been a major issue for residents and they have been blaming the management for careless approach on this issue.

Talking to CitySpidey, Sachin Sharma, said, “There are various issues in the society which need to be resolved on priority basis. Lift and security are one of the major concerns. We will sit with the residents and find out a viable solution on each issue.”

Sharma further said, “Though, the elected members are yet to take the charge, we have already started working on some issues. Many residents have complained that internal speed breakers are causing problems to the people. Pregnant women are mostly facing difficulties while going for routine check-up. We will remove these speed breakers.”

Security system in the society is another major concern for residents. As residents told the security guards were not paid their monthly dues on regular basis. It has affected the security services in the society.

Replying on it, Neeta Aggarwal, said, “We will ensure that salary of security guards are given on time and security services not get affected. Being a woman, I know that the security is a big concern for woman inside and outside of the premises of the society and I will invite suggestions from residents and will proceed accordingly.”

During the campaign, each members or lobby had a long list of promises with residents like street lights, CCTV cameras in lifts, power backup, house keeping and many more. “Lack of adequate manpower is a core issue which is no doubt affecting all services. For instance, even a minor leakage is not being repaired after three months. I hope the elected AOA will keep in mind all issues and things to be resolved,” said Sumil Jalota, a resident of the society.
