New Delhi: Transport minister Kailash Gahlot on Tuesday flagged off the fourth lot of 100 cluster buses from the Rajghat depot which are a part of 1,000 standard-floor buses. 

With this lot, a total of 429 buses have joined the cluster scheme fleet. 

“It is another day of joy for all Delhiites as we have got 100 more ultra-modern buses,” Gahlot said. “As has been visible in the past few months, Delhi will now be regularly adding buses to its fleet. Our government is committed to keep its promise of not just ensuring sufficient and quality public transport but also strengthening overall transport infrastructure,”he added.

These standard-floor, 37-seater buses are equipped with with features such as GPS trackers, panic buttons, CCTV cameras and hydraulic lifts for the differently abled.

There are three CCTV camera in every bus and a panic button at every seat. “We also have marshals deployed across all shifts for women safety,” Gahlot said.
