EDMC organises house tax camp to ease payment of dues

New Delhi: The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) organised a house tax camp in Kanti Nagar, Shadara. More than 200 residents of area benefited from the camp. 

Owner of unauthorised colonies had a chance to submit their house tax dues. People could clear their dues without interest on unpaid tax.

"We could not pay our house tax as the last date for the same was October 30. The special camp gave us a chance to submit our bills at our doorstep,” said a resident of Kanti Nagar ward 26. 

EDMC Councillor Shadara zone, Kanchan Maheswari, said, “We will organise a camp in all major areas where we have received complaints regarding tax."
