On December 3, the divisional commissioner Ashok Sangwan held a review meeting and had given instructions to make Udyog Vihar and Sector 18 area free from unclaimed vehicles. In this regard, a letter was sent to the police department on December 4 to make the Udyog Vihar and Sector 18 free from such vehicles.

Thereafter, a survey was conducted about these vehicles lying at other places and vacant land in the city and now a letter has been written to the police department to take appropriate action against them and clear the places.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri appealed the owners to pick their unclaimed vehicles at the earliest. He said that the owners should pick their vehicles.

“If they fail to respond then the police department will take action and unclaimed vehicles will be impounded. The police has started lifting vehicles and process for the auction as per the rules and the expenses will also be recovered from the vehicle owners.” he said.
