Indirapuram: In an empathetic gesture, the Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FedAOA) and Lioness Club on Saturday donated pollution masks and eye drops to 35 traffic police officials at Indirapuram Habitat Centre.
The utilities were distributed to the officials deployed in Indirapuram area.
The members of Lioness Club demonstrated the officials about ways to use and maintain the mask for long period of time. Besides, an eye specialist from a private clinic, who was present at the event, gave tips about eye care to the officials.
“In view of rising air pollution, we decided to do our bit for the people who are most exposed to it. They continuosly do their duties without getting affected by it,” said Alok Kumar, founder of FedAOA.
The traffic police officials do their duty in the middle of toxic gases emanating from the vehicles. “The masks would be useful to them,” he said.
